Role Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our newly Ofsted registered home.
The role includes assisting the Home Manager with daily tasks such as; reporting & recording, monitoring, ensuring that staff follow individual care plans and ensuring the safeguarding of our children and young people. You will be required to help lead and develop the team and to set an example to others.
The role may also include supporting education, taking part in activities, daily household tasks, attending meetings with staff and professionals, assisting with training and development of the staff team and reporting to the leadership management team.
The role may include on and off shift work dependent upon the needs of the home and will be contracted to a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
There will be an opportunity to work both “on shift” and “sleeping nights”.

Hourly Rates: £14.75 – £15.75 plus sleep rate
Annual Salary: Circa £33,950 – £36,000
Full time Hours: 37.5 per week
The residential care team are the heart of the home and are responsible for providing support and care to the children & young people whilst they are in our home.
The role includes assisting the Home Manager with daily tasks such as; prioritising the well being and safeguarding of our children and young people, supporting with education, reporting & recording, taking part in activities, daily household tasks including cleaning & cooking, attending meetings with a range of professionals and continuous on-the-job training and development.
You will be required to work as part of the team and to set an example to others. We have shift patterns of 2 on 4 off or 1 on 2 off and you will be required to work either waking nights or sleeping nights.

Hourly Rates: £12.50-£13.75 plus sleep rate
Annual Salary: Circa £30,000 – £32,750
Full time Hours: 37.5 per week (Part time and Bank positions available)
The residential care team are the heart of the home and are responsible for providing support and care to the children & young people whilst they are in our home day and night.
A Residential Support Worker Waking Night is responsible for the safeguarding of our young people during the night and running of the home throughout the night.
Duties include ensuring the home is a safe and secure environment and domestic duties are completed throughout night to support the shift for the following morning and undertake record keeping duties.
A thorough handover is completed at the start and end of each night shift.
A safe, healthy, and homely environment is to be maintained at all times to meet Ofsted’s Quality Standards.
All employees are registered with our nominated learning provider to complete the NVQ Level 4 Children’s and Residential Workforce and will be supported to complete this within the workplace within 2 years of their employment start date.
