Role Description:
The residential care team are the heart of the home and are responsible for providing support and care to the children & young people whilst they are in our home.
The role includes assisting the Registered Manager with daily tasks and prioritising the well being and safeguarding of our children and young people. Daily tasks include supporting young people with education, transporting young people to education, activities and family visits, accurate reporting & recording, taking part in activities, daily household tasks such as cleaning & cooking, attending meetings with a range of professionals. As an RSW you will receive continuous on-the-job training and development.
You will be required to work as part of the team and to set an example to others. We have shift patterns of 2 on 4 off or 1 on 2 off and you will be required to work either waking nights or sleeping nights.
Requirements:
Required: GCSE or equivalent English & Maths
Preferred: Residential Childcare experience: 1 year
Preferred: NVQ Level 3 Children’s and Residential Workforce
Successful applicants will only be given a formal offer once satisfactory DBS and references are received.
